REQUIEM – A JOURNEY BEYOND AND WITHIN
Installation
What does film and glass have in common? How can they meet? A camera consists of a box and a lens. The lens consists of glass. Light comes into the box – a room, refracted through the lens turnes up side down on the rear wall of the box. By deconstructing the camera occurs, thus a kind of answer. Light traveling through the glass. The lens of a camera is solid. What happens if the lens is instead a vessel? A vessel has both an inside and an outside. A double spatiality. The inner spatiality is possible to fill. The inside of the vessel is changeable. By changing the internal spatiality it becomes possible to also affect the outer room by illuminating the vessel. The light travels through the vessel and is projected out into the outer room.
